90 Day Body Revolution

I decided to tackle 2014 by completing the Jillian Michael's 90 Day Body Revolution Series. I figured I would share my experience.


This includes 15 DVD's, plus the traditional extra crap that comes with any fitness series. The Body Revolution system is broken into 30-day phases. Within those phases, there are 4 circuit training workouts. There are also 3 cardio workouts - one for each phase.

I thought this would be a good plan for me because I like working out to Jillian Michaels, I trust her as a trainer, and I think my body needs circuit training. Left to my own devices, I soley do cardio and I think my body needs weights and resistence.

I am not doing her 7 day diet plan. I bought very healthy food and will count calories and use my Fitness Pal, but her plan calls for ingredients I just don't like/have. I am, however, learning more about metabolic foods and I'm working toward a better metabolic diet.

So, here I go!!!

PHASE 1:
Day 1 (1/6/14): Woke up at 5am to the cat snuggling. This is the first time I'm happy that the cat woke me up. I was pressing play on my DVD before 6am hit, so I'm feeling pretty accomplished. Today's workout felt exactly like Jillian's 30 Day Shred. My arm pits are going to KILL tomorrow. I feel like I didn't have as much energy with today's workout as I would like, but I am just getting in. I am going to try harder tomorrow.
*That night I shoveled snow for quite some time. I felt like I was much hungrier at night but I know it is going to take a few days to get my body/diet back on track after the holidays.

Day 2 (1/7/14): I was done with my workout by 6:20am! Whoop Whoop! I'm pretty impressed! I felt a bit lethargic today. I am going to research different ways to wake yourself up because I want to make the most of these workouts. Today was arms and abs and I sure felt the pain at work. Unfortunately, I left my really healthy lunch at home so I had to eat from the work cafeteria.
